What is the Council?

National Architects Council and their Auxiliaries – CPNAA – is a State entity created by Law 435 of 1998, in charge of promoting as well as supervising the architecture profession in conjunction with the auxiliary professionals.

What does the Council do?

The CPNAA works towards satisfying the necessities of its users as well as promoting and supervising the architecture profession within the stipulations of the code of ethics.

CPNAA promotes capitalization, investigation and academic quality of the architecture profession and its auxiliary professionals with competent and accredited people, and a great infrastructure, which ultimately guarantees the well being and further nurturing of the entity.


Control, watch over, promote and foster, as a state entity, the ethical and legal service of the architecture profession and its auxiliary professionals, at a national level and benefitting the general population.


Be recognized at a national level, as the state entity that controls and watches over efficiently the architecture practices.
