One of the fundamental rights observed by the Constitution of 1991, is the right to exercise a profession or job as stipulated in article 26. This norm is also constituted for monitoring onto professions, occupations, arts and jobs that reflect a social risk.
The CPNAA is a state entity created by Law 435 of 1999, in charge of promoting as well as supervising the architecture profession in conjunction with the auxiliary professionals.
Based on article 24 of Law 435 of 1998, CPNAA is officially the regulatory entity, enabled to sanction in writing the architects and auxiliary professionals, as well as suspend their licenses up to 5 years and/or even the cancellation of the registration, certificate or enrollment, depending on the case.
